What is the best forum software

If your looking for forum software suggestions from a reliable source you have come to the right place. We have had a few consumers come to us with their tak on it. Most people need something in the middle of vBulletin as far as the money goes and bbPress but with more options. phpBB is a little too bulky and a resource hogbut it seems to be one of the very best on the market.

Of all the features of phpBB you can safely say that you will probably only use about "75% of these features of phpBB. Most don't need 20 or 30 different levels of users, a calendar and other useless tools that are probably on your outlook or yahoo portal page. Most people just want to have a forum that has the basics. Te basics usually include, Users with profiles, individual categories, forums, and threads with titles, search, etc. Individual post counts and at minimum four kinds of users: admins, moderators, registered users, and guests. Free software or close to it is generally another favored option.
